Hi friend, I’m so happy you’re here! This is my very first blog post for Honey and Peanut Design, and I wanted to use it as a way to not only welcome you but also share a little bit about myself, my story, and what you’ll find here. Grab a coffee (I’m a latte girl myself) and let’s get comfy.
A Little About Me
My name is Karestin, and I’m a wife, a mom, and a creative who has always had a love for design and celebrating life’s little (and big!) milestones. Life is busy between raising a toddler, finding time for healthier living, and squeezing in creative work whenever I can, it can be messy and beautiful all at once.
When I was expecting my little one, I realized how much I loved finding sweet ways to celebrate and remember that season of life. I’ve always been a “memory keeper” kind of person—I love photos, pretty keepsakes, and anything that helps tell our family’s story. That love eventually grew into creating my own designs, and before I knew it, Honey and Peanut Design was born.
Why Honey and Peanut Design?
The name Honey and Peanut came from a mix of sweetness and comfort—the way family feels. I wanted my shop to reflect that warmth. Every template I create is designed with busy moms and families in mind, because I know firsthand how precious time is when you’re in the middle of life’s big changes.
Pregnancy Announcements Are My Jam
Right now, most of my shop is filled with pregnancy announcement templates, and honestly, they’re my favorite thing to design. There’s just something magical about helping families share one of the happiest pieces of news they’ll ever tell the world.
I’ve created cozy fall-themed announcements, sweet and soft boho-inspired designs, playful holiday ones, and even minimal modern layouts for those who love simplicity. I try to think of all the little details you’d want, whether you plan to post digitally on Instagram or Facebook or print them out to mail to loved ones.
Every announcement is editable in Canva, which means you can add your own photos, change colors, and make it yours without needing any special design skills.
What’s Next
While pregnancy announcements are at the heart of Honey and Peanut right now, I’m slowly adding in other pieces, too. You’ll find some 1st birthday invitations, baby milestone sets, and even some wedding-inspired bundles making their way into the shop. My vision is to grow this into a place where you can find something beautiful for every season of life—whether you’re announcing big news, planning a celebration, or just wanting cute lifestyle templates.

Life Behind the Designs
Since this is my first post, I’ll be real with you—it’s not always easy balancing being a mom, running a shop, and finding time to create. Some days I’m working late at night after bedtime; other days I sneak in design time during nap time. But this little business lights me up.
I love knowing that something I made in the quiet corners of my day will go out into the world and help another family celebrate their joy. That’s what keeps me going.
